The approval process manages a team's video production through a review process. All videos must be approved by a designated approver before they can be downloaded and shared by their creator.
Only team owners can activate or deactivate the approval process and set approvers. However, any team member, regardless of their role (owner, creator, or contributor), can be designated as a approver.
1. Activate the approval process
- Go to the platform's homepage.
- Click on Team Settings in the left menu.
- Select the Advanced options tab.
- In the Approval process section, click Enable process.
- Assign a team member as the approver and click Enable.
- The approval process is now active for the team!
To deactivate it, go to the same section and click Disable process.
2. Add additional approvers
When the approval process is activated, you can add additional approvers at any time:
- Still in the Advanced Options tab, click on Go to permissions.
- Find the person you wish to define as approver.
- Click on the Actions button to the right of the user in question.
- Click on Edit permissions.
- Activate the Approve videos option, then click on Save.
When the approval process is activated, you can remove a team member from the role of approver at any time, simply by unchecking the Validate videos option.
- If your team already had old videos before the validation system was activated, these will not be blocked and can still be uploaded and shared, unless you make changes to them.

- When a team member wishes to upload or share a video, he or she must request and wait for the video to be validated.
- The approver(s) will receive a notification on PlayPlay and by email and will be able to validate the video or request modifications.
- When a approver approves or requests modifications, the video creator receives a notification on PlayPlay.
