PlayPlay allows you to add subtitles to all the voice-overs in your project, whether they are uploaded, recorded directly on the platform, or generated using AI.
To do this, from your project:
-
Click on the Voice tab, then choose one of the three available options:
Record your voice directly on the platform,
Generate an AI voice-over from text,
Upload a voice-over using an audio file.
Then go to the Subtitles tab in the same panel.
-
Once this is done, you will have two options:
Click Write subtitles to manually type your text.
Click Automatic subtitles, select the language spoken in your interview, then wait while the subtitles are generated.
Note: You can also use automatic translation to convert them into another language if needed.
Your subtitles will appear at the start of your media, and you'll be able to customize them all at once directly.
You can also freely move, resize, or rotate your subtitles in the preview to achieve the exact result you want.
If the subtitle timing doesn’t suit your needs, you can use the on-screen subtitle editor or go directly to the central timeline to define their exact display time.
When your project contains multiple segments from the same voice-over (after splitting it, for example), you can manage the subtitles for each segment independently.
If your voice-over has been modified (for example shortened), you can automatically regenerate the subtitles so that they match the updated audio version.
You can space out the appearance of your subtitles by adding line breaks while writing them.
If your audio file has poor sound quality or the speech is difficult to understand, the automatic subtitles may be incomplete or contain errors.
