For example, if your colleague spotted a typo in your video, he can leave a comment at the exact moment he noticed the typo. The timestamp in the comment is a hyperlink, so you can click on it and be automatically redirected to the referred moment in the video. Once you've corrected the typo, you can resolve the comment.
1. Add a timestamped comment
On the video’s share link, viewers can add a timestamped comment in two ways:
- Pause the video where they want to comment and click the clock icon 🕓. The timestamp is added automatically, and they can write their comment before clicking Add.
- Manually type the timestamp in the comment field using one of the supported formats.
Once the comment is posted, the timestamp becomes a hyperlink. Clicking it redirects the viewer to the referenced moment in the video. The project creator is notified each time someone comments.
2. Resolve a timestamped comment
The project creator or any member of the team on PlayPlay can resolve or re-open comments using the checkmark button that appears when hovering over a posted comment.
-
Supported timestamp formats:
-
mm:ss - for example, 00:12 to indicate 12 seconds.
-
hh:mm:ss - for example, 01:01:00 to indicate 1 hour and 1 minute.
-
- Any other format will not be recognized as a timestamp.
-
Timestamps can be added or removed by editing a comment.
By right-clicking a timestamp hyperlink, a user can copy the URL of that exact moment in the video and share it outside of PlayPlay.
