How do roles work?

PlayPlay allows you to remove the background (or background) from a video when needed, thanks to Artificial Intelligence (AI).

1. From the media editor in dynamic elements

  • Go to the screen of your choice, open the Elements tab, then click Add media, and upload your file. If it is already present in your media library, there is no need to upload it again.
  • Once your media is uploaded, you can click on its thumbnail to add it to the screen.
  • Then, click the Remove background button. Once the process is complete, your video is automatically replaced by its background-removed version.

Note: You can revert to your original media by toggling off the button.

2. From the video settings window

Once the media is added to your screen:

  • Click on the three dots (Actions) of the media you want to edit, then select Edit.

  • Go to the Effect tab and click the Remove the background with AI button.

Note: You can revert to your original media by toggling off the button.

  • ⚠️ You cannot remove the background from:
    • a video longer than 5 minutes;
    • a clip from a video that's been split;
    • a media with the audio cleanup option enabled;
    • a stock media.
  • Processing time depends on the length of your video. It takes about 1.8 times the duration of the video.
  • During processing, avoid closing or saving your project before the background removal is complete.
