How to use PlayPlay tools with external videos?

Sometimes, you may need to work with videos that weren’t created entirely within PlayPlay. To make this easier, the platform allows you to import your external videos and use our full range of tools to transform, export, or share them with ease.

1. What tools can I use on imported videos?

Please note: To use the AI Clipping or AI Copywriting features, the imported video must contain audio. 

 

2. How do I import a video using a tool?

  • The tools are available in the central section of the homepage (click See all tools to explore them), or directly by clicking the Tools tab in the left-hand menu.

  • By selecting one of the available tools, you can directly import a video created outside of PlayPlay to work with it.

3. Where can I find my imported video on PlayPlay?

By clicking on My Videos, then Imported videos, you can access all the videos created by your team, including imported external ones. By default, your own videos will be shown first.

  • The maximum size for an imported video is limited to 2 GB.
  • PlayPlay supports common video formats as listed in the table below:

  • All video dimensions are accepted, whether square, horizontal, or vertical formats, as the player automatically adjusts to fit each type of video.
  • The quality of imported and hosted videos on PlayPlay will be similar to conventional PlayPlay videos (Full HD).
  • Imported videos cannot be opened and edited directly within a project. You’ll need to add them as standard media in the project’s media library to use them.
