Video is the ideal format to promote your content or events, whether it's on social media, in a newsletter, or on an internal platform. Here are our tips for creating engaging teaser videos.

1) Define the structure of your video

A teaser video is necessarily short: it should not last more than 30 seconds. Its objective is to engage your audience and make them want to attend your event, read your article, download your app...

🧪 The magic formula for a good teaser video

👉 A catchy and engaging introduction

👉 2-3 interesting pieces of information that introduce the issue or topic

👉 A call to action, an ending message to encourage your audience to take action: sign up for your next webinar, download your new white paper, read an article on your website...

2) Carefully craft your introduction

The introduction is essential to captivate your audience, and it all comes down to the first few seconds. You need to intrigue your audience, who will want to go further.

🔹 Tip 1: Formulate your title as a question.

Example: "What green solutions for tomorrow's transportation?"

🔹Tip 2: Start with a fact that will surprise or challenge your audience. Example: "90% of transportation will be electric in 2050."

🔹 Tip 3: If your content talks about expert opinions, has a quote or a testimonial, don't hesitate to quote it right off the bat: it's a great hook!

3) Get to the point

The objective of a teaser video is to make people want to know more. So you shouldn't say too much and limit yourself to the main information.

🔹 Tip 1: Present the issue, rather than your conclusions.

For example, you can present a key question or element that you will develop in your webinar, conference, white paper, or article.

🔹 Tip 2: If your content includes a lot of numbers, only cite one or two.

🔹 Tip 3: If your content is in the form of top tips, tricks, or advice, only give a few in your teaser. This will make your audience want to go find out the rest.

4) End with a call-to-action

Remember, the main goal is to get your audience to take action: sign up for your next webinar, download your new white paper, read an article on your site...

After viewing the teaser, your audience should know exactly what to do: how to register for your webinar, where to find your white paper, and on which site to read your article.

🔹 Tip 1: Address your audience directly with a question. Ex: "Want to know more?"

🔹 Tip 2: Choose a screen that highlights your message. Ex: The "Laptop Preview" screen to insert a screenshot of your site, or the "Icon" screen if you prefer a more visual illustration.

With these tips, you have everything you need to make great teaser videos!
