How do roles work?

1. Start from scratch

To create your video from scratch, you have two options on the home page:

  • Click on the Scratch button located at the center of the page.
  • Click the Scratch button in the New video tab on the left menu.

In both cases, you will be automatically redirected to the editing page of a totally blank project.

2. Add screens

In order to create your video, you will need to create several screens one after the other:

  • Start by adding a first screen by clicking on Add a screen.

  • You can then browse the screen library, which includes over a hundred screens divided by category, to find the one that suits you best.

3. Fill in and preview the screens

Once you have the right screen(s), you need to fill them with media, text, icons, subtitles, etc.

1️⃣ Add a media

It’s not mandatory to add media, but if a screen allows it:

Hover over the example media thumbnail, click on the three dots (Actions), then select Replace. You’ll be redirected to your project’s library to choose the desired media (photo, video, GIF, etc.) and configure it before adding it.

2️⃣ Write your text

Once the media is added, you can type text in the text box on the screen using the:

  • Layout options (highlighting, underlining, coloring)

  • Text management options (bold, italic, font choice and size).

3️⃣  Preview screen

To preview your screen in motion, click the play button after making any change.

Note: To get the complete structure of your PlayPlay video, just repeat exactly these three steps for all subsequent screens.

4. Global preview and HD generation

To get the final result of your video:

  • Click on the Preview button in the top right to have a quick preview of your video in low resolution.

  • Click on the Generate HD video button to have the high definition version of your video.
