Single Sign-On (SSO) lets your team log in to PlayPlay through your company’s own secure authentication method, so nobody needs a separate PlayPlay password.
1. Who can use SSO?
SSO is available on the Enterprise plan only. If you’re already a PlayPlay customer, contact your Customer Success Manager (CSM) to activate it.
SSO isn’t available during the 7-day free trial. To use SSO for your team, request a demo to learn more about our subscription.
2. Which identity providers can I use?
PlayPlay works with most identity providers, including Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), Okta and Google Workspace.
If your provider isn’t listed, your IT team can still set up the connection using SAML 2.0 or OpenID Connect.
3. How do I set up SSO?
SSO is set up with your CSM and your company’s IT administrator. Here’s how to proceed:
Contact your CSM to request SSO activation. Your CSM will email a setup link to your IT administrator.
Configure your connection from the setup link.
Once the configuration is complete, let your CSM know.
Test the connection. Your CSM will set up a test environment and ask your IT administrator to log in using Sign in with SSO.
Activate SSO. Once the test is successful and you’ve given the go-ahead, your CSM activates SSO on your PlayPlay account, and you’re all set!
4. How do I log in with SSO?
Once SSO is activated, all users in your company receive an email letting them know they now need to log in with SSO. Their previous email and password will no longer work.
To log in:
Go to the PlayPlay login page.
Click Sign in with SSO.
Enter your work email address.
You’ll be redirected to your company’s login page. Once you’re authenticated, you’ll be taken back to PlayPlay, logged in.
5. What if the SSO test doesn’t work?
You’re redirected to your company’s login page but can’t log in: the issue is most likely on your identity provider’s side. Check with your IT team.
You’re not redirected at all: the setup may be incomplete. Make sure your IT administrator used the link sent by your CSM and completed every step.
For any additional questions, don’t hesitate to contact your Account Manager or customer support via chat.
Once SSO is activated, every user in your company logs in through your identity provider. Their previous PlayPlay password no longer works.
Your own security rules, such as two-factor authentication, apply, since your identity provider handles authentication.
If a user’s email address changes, your CSM can update it on PlayPlay’s side. No action is needed from your IT team.
PlayPlay is ISO 27001 certified and SOC 2 Type 2, and complies with the GDPR. Your data is hosted in Europe and encrypted both in transit and at rest.
