To add automatic subtitles to your interview video :
- It is necessary to have previously used a screen that provides this feature (here is the list of all screens concerned), and to have integrated media into it. For example, Subtitles screens from the Interview & Quotes category.
Note: Automatic subtitling is only available for the audio of a video added to a screen. It cannot be applied to a voiceover added to a project.
-
Go to the Subtitles tab of your screen.
-
Click the Automatic Subtitles button, select the language spoken in your interview, and wait for the subtitles to be generated.
Note: You can also automatically generate subtitles for all eligible screens in your project in a single action by clicking Generate for the entire project.
- Your subtitles will automatically sync to the audio of your interview and you will be able to customize them all at once directly.
-
You can also freely move, resize, or rotate your subtitles in the preview to achieve exactly the result you want.
-
If the automatic subtitle timing doesn’t suit your needs, you can use the on-screen subtitle editor or go directly to the central timeline to define their exact display time.
- If the sound quality of your interview is poor or it is difficult to hear the interviewee, it is possible that the automatic subtitles are incorrect or incomplete.
- Here is an exhaustive list of all screens where adding subtitles is possible.
To automatically subtitle your project’s voiceover: first download your video without subtitles (but including the voiceover), then upload it into a new project and place it in a screen that supports subtitling (such as those in the Interview & Quotes category).
