How do roles work?

To add subtitles to your video by writing them directly on your screens:

  • It is necessary to have previously used a screen that provides this feature (here is the list of all screens concerned), and to have integrated media into it. For example, Subtitles screens from the Interview & Quotes category:

Note: The subtitling option is only available for a video added to a screen. It cannot be applied to a voiceover integrated into a project.

  • Go to the Subtitles tab of your screen, click on the Write Subtitles button, and write your text.

  • You can also freely move, resize, or rotate your subtitles in the preview to achieve exactly the result you want.

  • A very short video or image media will not display all your subtitles if they contain a lot of text.
  • You can space out your subtitles by skipping lines when you write them.

To add subtitles to your project’s voiceover: first download your video without subtitles (but including the voiceover), then upload it into a new project and place it in a screen that supports subtitling (such as those in the Interview & Quotes category).
