PlayPlay allows you to save your brand guidelines once, at team level, so every video your colleagues create is automatically on-brand: your logos, colors, fonts, backgrounds and end screens are applied to all templates and screens, with nothing to adjust manually.
💡 This article explains how to set up your brand guidelines, how to manage several brands, and how to use team templates to frame what your team can create.
-
There are three roles on PlayPlay: Contributor, Creator and Owner. Only Owners can access and edit the brand guidelines, because they are the only ones who can open the team settings — see how a team works on PlayPlay for the full picture.
Brand customization is included in the Enterprise plan. During the 7-day free trial, you can add up to 2 logos and use predefined colors and fonts.
-
Everything happens in your team settings, in the Brand guidelines section. For each element, click Edit, then add your assets:
-
Import one or several logos, including your alternative versions (white or black) so your logo stays visible on dark backgrounds.
-
Enter the HEX codes of your colors to set your primary and secondary palette.
-
Import your fonts, name them, then add their variants (regular, bold, italic).
-
Replace the default backgrounds with your own.
-
Add your official outros, so every video is signed the same way.
Your brand icons, pictograms and reference visuals have their place too: store them in a dedicated folder in your company media library, where your whole team can find them.
-
-
Once your brand guidelines are saved, PlayPlay applies them automatically:
-
Every template and every screen uses your colors, fonts and logos as soon as it is added to a project.
-
Your team members don't have to pick the right color or font themselves: the correct values are already selected.
-
Your brand guidelines also follow you into PlayPlay Design, PlayPlay's AI solution for branded visuals: they are imported automatically from PlayPlay Video. Open the Brand tab, then complete a few elements, such as your reference visuals or your logo position.

If you manage several brands, subsidiaries or countries, you can set up different brand guidelines for different teams. Each team has its own settings, so each one gets its own logos, colors, fonts and outros.
A user can belong to several teams and switch from one to another, which keeps each entity's identity separate while letting everyone work in the same account. To create or organize your teams, contact your Customer Success Manager (CSM).
-
Team templates are videos saved as reusable models for your whole team. They are the best way to make sure recurring formats, such as a monthly news video or a recruitment post, always follow the same structure and the same brand guidelines.
-
Save one of your best videos as a team template: your team can then duplicate it and only replace the text and media.
-
Go one step further by activating the approval process, so every video is reviewed before it is downloaded or published.

Only Owners can edit the brand guidelines. Creators and Contributors use them without being able to change them.
Changes apply to new screens and new projects. Videos already created keep the settings they were created with.
Check your font licenses before importing them: you need the rights to use them in your videos.
Each section accepts specific file formats. The accepted formats are indicated directly in the interface when you import a file.
Your CSM can help you set everything up. At the start of your subscription, your CSM imports your brand guidelines with you, based on your brand guidelines document.
