You can record your screen and your camera (webcam) simultaneously to easily comment on, explain, or present what’s displayed on your screen.
To do this, from your project’s editing page:
- Open the Library tab in the left-hand menu, then click Record and select Screen and camera.
Note: Your browser may ask you to allow access to your camera.
- Next, choose the tab or window of your browser that you want to record (available options depend on your browser).
- Then customize the position, display style, and size of your camera, and click Start recording.
Note: The maximum recording duration is 20 minutes.
- The recording will start after a 3-second countdown, and you can stop it at any time by clicking Stop recording.
Note: Depending on your browser, if you switch tabs or pages, a picture-in-picture window may appear so you can keep track of your recording.
- Once the recording is complete, you can start over by clicking Restart or keep it by selecting Add to project.
- Your recording is automatically added to your media library, and you can then add it to your screens.
We do not recommend using Safari 16, as this may prevent the feature from working properly.
You can rename your file from the media library.
Your media may appear to be of low quality once the recording is available in the media library, but the quality will improve when your project is generated in HD.
