A transition is a visual effect that smoothly connects one screen to the next. It helps make your video more dynamic, easier to follow, and gives it a more professional look.
With PlayPlay, you can add a transition between two screens and customize its style, or apply the same transition to your entire project to ensure visual consistency.
1. Customize the transition style between two screens
- In the screen timeline, click on Set transition located between the two screens.

Select the transition style you want to apply: by hovering over the thumbnails with your mouse, you’ll see an animation preview of the effect.

Close the transition settings window: the transition between these two screens will be automatically updated.
2. Apply a consistent transition style across the entire video

Select the transition style you want to apply to your entire video, then click “Apply to all screens” and confirm your selection.

Close the transition settings window: all transitions in your project will be automatically updated.

Here’s how to quickly check if a transition is active between two screens:

Transitions are automatically disabled:

between the last screen and your outro (if you added one),

if your screen is placed right before or after the following screens:
